Grace Atim

Grace is a Chief Research Fellow and holds an M.A (Hons) Degree in English Language from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; M.A Mass Communication, and an M.Sc. Gender Studies from Benue State University, Makurdi. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Administration (PGDA) from the University of Ibadan and a Certificate in Strategic Negotiation & Conflict Resolution from West End College London. She is a member of the National Peace Institute (mpi). She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Gender and Development Studies at the University of Jos. Conducting an appraisal of the experiences of Women in IDP camps in northern Nigeria. Her recent works include The Challenges of Gender Stereotypes among African Women. Published by AT-MISHAD Publishers in 2016, Children and Armed Conflict in Africa: Nigeria in Perspective (2019). She has published and consulted on issues of Gender, Child Protection, Security, Human Rights, Communication, Development, and Peacebuilding for national and international journals. She is currently a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) Women Peace and Security Journal.
